Shahanshah began as a family-run vegetarian shop in Southall, first on South Road, then settling into its long-term home on North Road. Customers talk about buying samosas here since the late 1980s.
The shop is still run as a family business. The samosas are made fresh on site each day, the sweets are made in store without preservatives, and everything on the menu is vegetarian.
It is a no-frills takeaway, with a counter, a menu on the wall and a handful of tables. People come for the food, and they queue for it.
Sweets are made fresh in store with no preservatives and sold by weight.
Menu items may change. Please call 020 8574 1493 to check availability or to place a big order. If you have an allergy, tell the counter staff when you order.
Samosas, pakoras, chaat and sweets in large quantities, for weddings, birthdays, Diwali and Vaisakhi. Shahanshah also caters for indoor and outdoor events. Call ahead so your order is fried fresh and ready when you arrive.
